It was an extremely successful day for our Society. Many people went home with a pedigree chart in their hand and a determination to find their many ancestors.

Don Pearce who gave us a talk about the Legacy Family Tree programme. He was able to demonstrate its various benefits and gave us a very quick introduction to it.
OPEN DAY FOR NATIONAL FAMILY HISTORY WEEK - AUGUST, 2009
The Society collaborated with the local LDS Church and shared an open day using their premises.
Both organisations were very pleased with the response from the public and enjoyed showing new family historians how to "climb" their family tree. We found our new laptop to be indespensible when demonstrating our programmes to the public, away from our library.
